Reagent Purification and Material Qualification



Job Description

Purification of antibodies with immunoaffinity columns, gel electrophoresis, standard protein purification techniques and other methods:
  • Polyclonal + monoclonal antibody purification using semi-automated column chromatography equipment;
  • Cell supernatant evaluation, purification;
  • Run SDS-PAGE gels, zonal analysis of IEF gels and Western blots;
  • Prepare buffers;
  • Keep records and procedures up to date

Purification of antibodies for detection/quantification of genetically modified crops, pesticide residues, mold and mold toxins, natural water toxins, in either enzyme-linked immunoassay (ELISA) format or lateral flow ImmunoChromatography Test (ICT) membrane format.

Reports to: Manager, Rare Reagents


Job Requirements

The applicant should possess at least 2 years demonstrated experience in immunoaffinity purification and other protein purification techniques such as ion-exchange, and size-exclusion chromatography. HPLC and TLC experience desirable.

Education Requirements

BS/BA in biology, immunology or biochemistry with two years hands-on experience in antibody purification is required.
