Shipping and Freight Estimation

EnviroLogix ships all kits in insulating foam containers within protective outer cartons. All plate and tube format kits are shipped year round with frozen gel packs. Lateral Flow Membrane (QuickStix and QuickTox) kits are shipped with frozen gel packs during the hot summer months. The outer cartons are marked "Not Perishable; Store at 4 - 8° C (38 - 45° F). Do Not Freeze." This packaging is sufficient for normal air shipping, but the packages should be opened immediately and stored as instructed on the kit box label.

Air transportation is preferred over ground because of the shorter shipping times and lower likelihood of exposure to extreme temperatures.

Carriers and shipping terms: Unless otherwise specified, EnviroLogix will ship using Federal Express. Shipment costs are door-to-door with freight prepaid and billed. Fees for customs, duties and taxes are the direct responsibliity of the customer. Risk of carriage passes to the customer when EnviroLogix delivers the shipping carton to the carrier. While we prefer to ship using Federal Express, we will be pleased to arrange shipping with another specified carrier or to ship on your own account.

Delivery schedules: FedEx and other couriers seek to provide a range of services, such as Priority Overnight, Standard Overnight, 2nd Day, etc., over their entire domestic networks, but not all services are available in every area. For full details, see the online service guide for your preferred carrier. EnviroLogix will normally select standard overnight service unless you instruct us otherwise. If you have a specific time requirement for delivery, please let our customer service representative know that when you call. We will check availability of that service for your specific location and coordinate with you on expected arrival time and cost.

Freight estimating: The rates listed below are without insurance cost. This is just a sample of our Domestic shipping costs. Please call for a quote on international shipping costs.

1. Due to the relatively light weight of kits, including gel packs, air freight rates are based on dimensional weight rather than actual weight.
   
   
2. To estimate total freight costs, select the appropriate carton size and service level from the table above; add insurance cost (Note 3) to obtain an approximate shipping total.
   
   
3. Insurance: Unless otherwise instructed, EnviroLogix insures each shipment for the declared value, through the carrier. Insurance value is between $0.50 and $0.70 for each $100 in value, with a minimum charge of $2.50
   
   
4. The above chart is based on Federal Express' Zone 6. Different zones (areas of the country) will be billed at their corresponding rates.
