Heather Feli

Director of Operations

Heather Feli is known for her strong leadership abilities, building high functioning teams, customer focus, technical expertise, and drive for continuous improvement. As Director of Operations, she oversees operations and facilities at EnviroLogix. Heather drives operational excellence in all production and development programs for safety, quality, delivery, and long-term success.

Heather joined EnviroLogix in 2023 in a bold transfer from Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense (EBAD). She has been with Ensign-Bickford since 2010 starting at EBAD as a Project Engineer, promoted into Program Management, followed by leading manufacturing operations as Product Engineering Leader in EBAD’s Electronics Center of Excellence. Prior to joining EBI, Heather worked at ATK Thiokol as Propellant Design Engineer on the Space Shuttle Reusable Solid Rocket Motors, Integrated Project Team (IPT) Leader on the Space Shuttle Booster Separation Motors, IPT Lead for the Ares programs, and a Systems Engineer in Advanced Programs.

Heather holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with a Minor in Mathematics from Clarkson University, in addition to a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of Utah. Heather also holds professional certificates in Engineering Leadership from Cornell University and Systems Engineering from University of Utah. Heather is a registered PMI Project Management Professional and an INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional.

In 2008 her “outstanding contributions to the Nation in advancing space science and technology for the benefit of humankind” were recognized for her work on the Space Shuttle Booster Separation Motors with a Rotary Stellar Award nomination. In 2009 she received a Program Manager’s Flight Commendation for her dedicated support of the successful Ares I-X flight. In 2016 her outstanding leadership on the Patriot Advanced Capability (PAC-3) was recognized by Lockheed Martin with an opportunity to visit White Sands Missile Test Range to witness a PAC-3 missile test.

Heather completed INCOSE’s Technical Leadership Institute in 2020. She is the co-author of “Experiments in Leading Through Influence: Reflections from a Group of Emerging Technical Leaders” (INCOSE 2020). Heather is editor and author of the book “Emerging Trends in Systems Engineering Leadership: Practical Research from Women Leaders”. In 2022 Heather was awarded INCOSE’s Outstanding Service Award for her unrelenting dedication and transformative leadership. Heather leads Ensign-Bickford’s campus engagement team for her alma mater Clarkson University. She is co-creator of Clarkson University’s annual OktoBAJAfest, a unique exhibition race for mini baja vehicles.
