The Bruce S. Ferguson Award is presented annually to the EnviroLogix employee who exemplifies a passion for science, innovation, creativity and the entrepreneurial spirit of its namesake. Stephen’s most important award qualification is the fact that he accomplishes all of these amazing advancements while being a great person. He is patient to a flaw and funnier than most stand-up comedians. His work ethic is second to none. He never turns it off, even while running a marathon over lunch. He studies constantly, interprets things from new angles, and brings a lightness to a very challenging job that make it enjoyable all. Stephen has significantly contributed to a vast array of new technologies, enabling the creation of a new class of amplification systems and sample preparation methods, and culminating in many additional patent applications.
