What should I do if the QuickScan CheckComb reads “HI” or “LO”?

If you observe a CheckComb value that is out of the ranges printed on the back,

  1. Remove the CheckComb from the scanner and place it back in the comb carrier (the CheckComb may not have been positioned properly).
  2. Clean the glass surface of the scanner
  3. Calibrate the scanner
  4. Execute the Clean Test. [insert link to Clean Test protocol] If there are bad clusters found, clean the glass surface again and repeat the Clean Test.
  5. Contact Technical Support if you continue to experience issues with reading the CheckComb.
